"Hey guys, just wanted to start this thread to see if anyone's tried building a budget-friendly gaming server that can handle 10G speeds. I'm looking to upgrade my current rig and was thinking of using a Ryzen 7 5800X paired with an X570 motherboard and some decent RAM. Anyone have any recommendations for a cost-effective storage solution that can keep up with the 10G transfer speeds?"

"Just wanted to share my experience with the ASRock X570M Steel Legend Micro ATX mobo from last year's build. I upgraded to a Ryzen 9 5900X and it performed amazingly well in gaming. Currently averaging 7.5Gbps on my 2.5Gbe NIC"

"Lowkey excited to see some budget-friendly options for a 10G server. Have you guys considered using a custom-built PC with an ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming mobo and a 10G Ethernet card? Would love to hear about any cost-effective solutions for cooling too."

"Yooo, just got my hands on that new ASUS motherboard that supports 10G Ethernet, and I'm hyped to see the results! I'm thinking of throwing in a Ryzen 9 5900X for some heavy lifting, anyone else tried this combo? How's your server build going?"

"Dude, for 10G speeds on a budget, I'd suggest checking out used ASUS or MSI motherboards with 10G LAN support, can usually find 'em on eBay or Craigslist for like half the price of new ones. Also, don't forget to opt for a GPU with PCIe 4.0 support to fully utilize the 10G speeds."

"Dude, I'm loving the build thread! I'd recommend swapping out the 10G switch for a managed one, it's gonna make setup and management way smoother. Also, what are your thoughts on using a 3rd gen Ryzen with a dedicated GPU for the server?"

"Lol, I'm still waiting for a stable 5G connection, but 10G speed on a gaming server sounds like a dream come true . Anyone know if there are any affordable 10G capable GPUs out yet? That would be a game-changer for high-res gaming."
