Title: Unleash the Beast - DIY Electric Bike Conversion Ideas

"Hey fellow tech enthusiasts and bike lovers, I'm stoked to start this thread! With the ever-rising cost of gas and a growing concern for the environment, I think it's a great time to explore DIY electric bike conversions. Has anyone out there successfully converted a bike to electric and willing to share their experience, tips, and tricks?"

"Hey guys, just a heads up - I recently converted my old hybrid bike into a beast of a ride and it only cost me about $200 for the kit. Used a hub motor from Alibaba and paired it with a 36v 10ah battery. Now I'm getting 40+ miles on a single charge"

"Hey guys, I'm actually in the process of converting my old mountain bike into an e-bike. So far I've installed a used Bafang motor and a 48V Li-ion battery, and I'm planning to add some custom fenders and a rear rack soon. Any suggestions on how to integrate the wiring and throttle?"

"Yo, just got a sweet deal on a 48V lithium ion battery pack that I'm thinking of using for my conversion. Has anyone tried using the Bafang motor with a geared hub? I'm worried about the weight distribution and stability with the rear setup."

"I'm actually working on a similar project myself, and I've found that the best DIY conversions involve using a mid-motor setup, which gives you better control over the bike's balance and weight. Has anyone tried using the Bafang Ultra motor? I've heard great things about it."

"Lol yeah, my buddy just converted his old moped to an e-bike and it's been a game changer for his daily commute. He used a 48v 20a controller and a 500w hub motor, and it's been smooth sailing ever since. Has anyone else tried using a throttle on their DIY conversion?"
