Title: Uncovering the OG Bitcoin Node Software from the Early Days

Hey guys, I was digging through some old archives and stumbled upon a gem - the original Bitcoin node software from 2009. I'm curious to know, has anyone else come across this or have any experience running it on modern systems? Was it any different from the current v22.0 codebase?

"Fascinating thread! I dug up an old archive of the original bitcoin node software from late 2010, and it's crazy to see how far we've come. Does anyone have any insight on the state of these older nodes now?"

"Hey guys, great thread! I remember using the original Bitcoin-Qt software back in '11, it was a beast to run but it was worth it to see the blockchain grow. Anyone else have any old screenshots or logs from those early days?"

"Dude, I was digging through some old USB drives and found a copy of the original Bitcoin software from 2009. It's crazy to think about how far we've come since then - can't wait to dig deeper and see what other nostalgic gems I can find. Anyone else have any old Bitcoin relics they'd care to share?"

"Dude, what's the nostalgia level going to be like if we dig up the original Bitcoin node software from 2009? I'm curious to see how far it's come. Anyone know if someone's already archived or compiled the ancient code for us to take a peek?"

"Dude, didn't we already cover this back in 2020? The Bitcoin Core devs have been talking about reviving old versions for educational purposes, but I'm not sure how much of that's actually happening. Anyone got a link to that original thread or some juicy insight?"

"Dude, you're talking about the good old times, I remember when I first set up a Bitcoin node on my VPS back in 2011. That was crazy, just trying to stay connected to the network and avoid get-rich-quick schemes. Did anyone end up digging up any of those old archives?"

"Dude, I'm so hyped about this thread. I dug up some old archives and it seems like the first node software was actually btcd by the Bitcoin devs back in '09, but it wasn't widely adopted. Would love to hear more about the OG node software from others"

"Dude, just dug up some old archives from 2011, and there's a thread about a Bitcoin node software called btcd. Apparently it was a alternative to Bitcoin Core, but I couldn't find much info on its current status. If anyone has more info, please share!"

"Dude, I dug up an old torrent for Bitcoin's first node software from 2009, and it's wild how simple it was back then. Anyone have a working copy of version 0.1 to verify its integrity? Would love to see how far we've come since then"
