"Dude, I think it's still too early to say for sure, but my gut tells me AI is a massive leap forward from the simple algos of the past. I mean, look at some of the stuff they're coming up with now - generative art, predictive models that can outperform humans... it's wild. But is it conscious? That's still up for debate imo."
