Title: Swift 5.X - Worth the Updgrade for Bitcoin Devs?

Hey fellow devs, just wondering if anyone's had a chance to play with Swift 5.X yet. I'm thinking of upgrading my Bitcoin wallet project to take advantage of the new features and performance improvements, but I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle. Has anyone made the switch and seen any tangible benefits?

"Yooo, Swift 5.X is definitely a solid upgrade, but for Bitcoin devs, I'd say it's not a game-changer. Most of our projects still rely on older versions for compatibility, so it's more about when the new versions will be supported by the Bitcoin community. Has anyone tried implementing it in their BTC code yet?"

"Hey guys, I'm still on Xcode 12, but I've heard Swift 5.X is way more efficient for large projects. From what I've seen, it's definitely worth the upgrade for devs working on complex Bitcoin codebases, even if it's a pain to transition."

Honestly, I don't think the Swift 5.x upgrade is a priority for Bitcoin devs. Our main focus is on the underlying protocol and not the language our smart contracts are written in. We're more concerned about the upcoming Taproot upgrade.

"Yeh, I'd say it's a solid upgrade for Bitcoin devs. Swift 5.X offers way better concurrency management, making it easier to handle the intense load of a blockchain network. I've seen a significant boost in performance on my own projects since switching over."

"Hey guys, I'd say it's worth looking into, especially if you're building anything complex. The async/await syntax in Swift 5.x has made a huge difference for me when working on some of my more intensive projects. It's definitely streamlined the development process."

" personally, I think the upgrade is more about stability and performance, which is awesome for larger BTC devs. but for personal projects or smaller-scale dev work, the upgrade might not bring enough benefits to justify the time spent on migrating to Swift 5. anyone else have some thoughts on this?"
