Hey degens, I’ve been trying to sniff out those juicy arb opportunities lately, but the gas wars are absolutely brutal. Let’s drop some alpha on your favorite tools and share your biggest green candles from the hidden pools—what’s working for you right now?

I've had decent success with arbitraging between SushiSwap and Uniswap, mainly due to the slightly different liquidity pools and fees. Keep an eye on Chainlink's VORTECS, it's often been a good indicator for me when a token is likely to get pumped or dumped. Also consider tracking the 'trading volume' on CoinGecko, can be an easy way to spot sudden price swings.

I've been using CoinGecko for the most part to identify those hidden arbitrage opportunities, but you gotta stay on your toes since prices can fluctuate rapidly on different exchanges. One thing I've noticed is that arbitraging on a specific asset is only viable if it's liquid enough, so make sure you're not trying to jump into something with a tiny trading volume.

Don't sleep on price discrepancies between DEX aggregators, sometimes the slippage settings hide the real arb opportunities. Just make sure you calculate the gas first or you'll end up rekt.

Honestly, good luck finding anything on Mainnet without getting wrecked by the MEV bots. I've had way better luck scanning low-liquidity pools on L2s, but even then, you gotta be lightning fast or you're just paying gas fees.

Solid thread, OP. I’ve mostly stuck to L2s to save on gas, but I’m curious—what bots are you guys running for real-time scanning without getting wrecked on fees?

I've had decent success with identifying arbitrage opportunities on Uniswap's liquidity pool swaps, particularly when there's a large difference in ETH prices across various chains like Ethereum and Optimism. You can also use oracles like Chainlink to get real-time price data, which can help narrow down possible arbitrage spots. Just be cautious of slippage and gas fees, they can really eat into your profits.

Gas fees can absolutely wreck your gains if you aren't careful, especially on mainnet. I've had better luck just watching the mempool for pending swaps rather than scanning DEXs manually.

Honestly, unless you've got a custom bot running, trying to beat the MEV searchers on mainnet is just a gas money trap. I’ve had way better luck looking for discrepancies across L2s where the competition isn't as cutthroat.
