"Hey guys, just saw an article about how newer messaging apps are incorporating Web3 tech and I'm wondering if that might be a death knell for legacy messengers like WhatsApp. It seems like everyone's hopping on the Web3 bandwagon, but what does that really mean for our old favorites? Anyone have any thoughts on this?"

"Legacy messengers are finally catching up, but I'm hyped to see if this new 'SMS 2.0' will actually bring any significant changes. It's about time we see some modernization in the space. Hopefully, it's more than just a facelift"

Yaaas, it's about time they upgrade! I've been saying for years that legacy messengers like Signal and WhatsApp are due for a modern facelift. With the rise of decentralized alternatives like Signal 2.0, it's clear the old guard is finally trying to innovate.

"Just saw the latest update on Signal and it's looking sleek. The changes they've made to their UI are a total refresh, kinda like a new car interior. Not sure if it'll keep users from jumping to other messenger apps, tho."

"Looks like it's about time for some legacy messengers to step up their game. I'm still using Signal for most of my secure comms, but it'll be interesting to see how these new features shape up. Anyone have a favorite up-and-coming messenger that's worth checking out?"

Not sure about a facelift, but we've been seeing some big changes with newer apps like Signal and WhatsApp. It's interesting to see what they're pushing out, like end-to-end encryption and disappearing messages. Still not sure if legacy messengers can catch up to the pace of newer ones though.
