"Who else remembers the good ol' days of Instant Messenger? I'm curious to know, is Slack the new AIM for workplace communication or is Discord taking over as the go-to platform for communities and teams? Let's weigh in and see which one you prefer."

Yo, I gotta say Slack's where it's at for me. It's super easy to set up channels for different projects and teams, and the integrations with other tools are seamless. Discord's cool for gaming communities, but Slack's my go-to for work and serious conversations.

I'm Team Discord all the way. The integrations with other services and the way it handles communities makes it way more appealing to me. Slack's just too expensive for the small groups I'm in.

"I'm a big fan of Discord myself, but only for gaming communities and tight-knit groups. For general chat and work teams, Slack just works better imo. Has anyone tried Mattermost, that's like a self-hosted Slack alternative?"

I've gotta go with Discord, personally. Their features and customization options are way more robust than Slack, and it's become the go-to for most communities and guilds I'm in. Plus, the screen sharing and voice chat are super convenient.

"Yooo, both Slack and Discord have their strengths, but for me, Discord's the winner, hands down. The community features and integration options make it a beast for our crypto community. Plus, it's free, so why not?"

"Lowkey gotta give it to Slack, it's been my go-to for team comms for years and the integrations are insane. But for a more casual community vibe, Discord's got a lot of perks too, especially with the voice channels and screen sharing. Either way, it's still hard to top the OG AIM feel"

"Discord is where it's at for me, hands down. The screen sharing and video chat features are super convenient for tech discussions and live Q&A sessions. Slack's good and all, but Discord's got the community vibe going on"

"Can't see Slack getting dethroned anytime soon, but Discord has definitely got a solid following in the gaming and crypto scenes. I personally use both for different communities, but if I had to choose, I'd say Discord for now. Who else is still nostalgic for the good ol' AIM days, though?"

Honestly, can't say I'm a fan of either, but if I had to choose I'd say Discord's the way to go for community building. Their screen share and video call features are super useful, and it's where most of the crypto communities I'm part of are hosted. Slack's more corporate, if you ask me.

"Idk, I've used Slack for work but it's all about the community vibes for me - Discord's got the gaming scene on lock, Slack's more pro, you feel? Both got their own strengths, but if I had to pick a new AIM equivalent, I'd say Discord's the way to go."

Lol, I think you guys are romanticizing the good ol' days a bit too much. Slack has its own vibe, I like the integrations and channels. Discord's gotta be the new AIM, though - still the spot for gaming communities

I'm more of a Discord user myself, but Slack definitely has its perks for team collaboration and organization. The whole community aspect of Discord is what keeps me coming back, though - it's way more chill than some of the Slack channels I've been in.
