Title: Shell-Shock: Uncovering the Mystery of Low Gas Price Variations

"Hey guys, noticed anyone else experiencing those weird fluctuations in gas prices on the Shell Exchange? I've been monitoring the prices over the past week and I'm seeing variations of up to 20% in a matter of hours. Can anyone shed some light on what's causing this volatility?"

"Low gas price variations are indeed weird. I've noticed it myself on Binance Smart Chain - sometimes fees are super low, and sometimes they skyrocket for no reason. Anyone else experiencing this on Polygon or other chains?"

"Dude, I think we're barking up the wrong tree here. Gas price variations are pretty normal, it's all about market demand, network congestion, and block size. Let's focus on how we can optimize our transactions instead of trying to 'solve' this mystery."

"Hey OP, just a thought, but have you considered the role of network congestion and miner fees in the gas price fluctuations? I've been tracking it myself and it seems like during peak hours, even a low gas price can balloon due to miner fees."

"Lots of people are still trying to wrap their heads around this one, but from what I understand, it's all about node operators adjusting their fees in real-time based on network congestion. Think of it like a dynamic pricing system – the more busses on the road, the higher the toll. Still, it's pretty wild to see gas prices spike up to 50Gwei and then drop back down."

"just chiming in here, I think we need to dig deeper into the EVM and see if there's any correlation with the block time and gas price fluctuations. I recall a similar pattern on Binance Smart Chain, but I don't think it's a universal issue. Anyone have some insights on this?"

I've been following this issue for a while now and it seems like Gas Price Oracles are the main culprit behind the price variations. Have you guys checked out the latest updates from Chainlink or Etherscan? Their new pricing feeds might help smooth out some of this volatility.

"Literally just read an article about this and it's crazy how little we knew about the gas price algo. Apparently, it's super sensitive to node density and block timestamp, which explains these wild fluctuations."
