Title: Server Security Nightmares: My Experience with a Hacked Server and What I Learned

Hey all, just had a wild ride with my server getting hacked and I'm still picking up the pieces. Turns out some low-hanging fruit vulnerabilities gave an unauthenticated user full access to my VPS, resulting in deleted backups, modified files, and some serious data loss. I'm hoping some of you more security-savvy folks can offer some insights on what I did wrong and how I can prevent it from happening again.
