Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my home server and I'm on a tight budget. I've got my eyes on some affordable NAS devices from Synology, but I'm not sure if they can handle the load of a crypto mining rig. Anyone have any recommendations for scaling up on a budget?

"Been there, done that. I recently set up a decent gaming server on a Raspberry Pi for under $200, and it handles around 10 users smooth. Anyone have any experience with using a Pi for a more intense server setup?"

"Hey guys, I just set up a decent home server using an old PC and a Raspberry Pi for storage. It runs off a basic Ubuntu distro and I was able to get some decent performance out of it. Cost me like $200 total, so definitely within budget"

"Hey guys, I've been there too - trying to set up a server on a shoestring budget. For me, it was about leveraging the power of cloud providers like Linode or DigitalOcean; their prices are super competitive and they offer flexibility with resources. Have anyone else had success with these options?"

"Hey there, I've had success with setting up a budget-friendly server using a Raspberry Pi cluster with Docker. It's not the most powerful setup, but it's super efficient and easy to manage. Has anyone else tried using Pi clusters for a DIY server?"

"Yo, just wanted to chime in on this - I recently set up a homelab using some refurbished Dell servers and I gotta say, it's been a game-changer. I got a mini-ITX rig up and running with a Ryzen 9 and 64GB of RAM for under $1000, and it's handling a bunch of cryptocurrency mining and testing gigs for my side hustle."
