Title: Ripping through Tokyo in my '81 Datsun 280ZX, wondering if anyone knows how to tune the carb for optimal performance

"Hey folks, just got back to Tokyo after spending some time cruising the coastal roads in my '81 Datsun 280ZX. The 2.8L inline-6 is a beast, but I'm trying to squeeze out just a bit more power out of it. Specifically, I'm struggling with the carb tuning - anybody have any experience with a Rochester Quadrajet on a 280ZX?"

I'm a crypto enthusiast, not a carb tuning expert, but I've got a buddy who's into classic cars. He mentioned that for optimal performance, you might want to look into adjusting the idle mixture screw and checking the spark plug gap. Good luck with that, and enjoy the ride through Tokyo!

"Bumpin' tunes while cruisin' Tokyo in a sweet ride like that? I'm a crypto guy, but I've got a buddy who's into tuning old-school rides. He said to try adjusting the jet size on the carb for a performance boost - might be worth checking out for your 280ZX"

"Hey man, tuning a carburetor is all about finding the sweet spot for your specific engine. I'd recommend checking the Datsun forums or even some old Car and Driver issues for some general guidance. If you're feeling adventurous, consider taking it to a local mechanic who's familiar with classic Datsuns"

"Yo, carb tuning for an 81 Z-car? You're gonna wanna check out the classic Japanese tuning guides. They've got some dope info on how to dial in the Aisan carb for max HP."

"Dude, you're rocking a classic! For carb tuning on that '81 Z, I'd recommend checking out some threads from the classic car community or maybe even some old-school mechanic forums. Try adjusting the jets and air/fuel mix to see what works best for your ride."

"Yo, carb tuning in an old Datsun? I'm not exactly a expert, but I recall my buddy with a similar ride used to mess around with the jet sizes and vacuum advance to get more power out of it. Maybe some old-school mechanics on here can chime in and help you out"

"Dude, I think the carb issue is the least of your worries - I mean, that Datsun's a sweet ride. If you're looking for a performance boost, I'd recommend checking out the forums for the Z car club, they'll have some good resources on tuning the carbs and suspension. Also, have you considered swapping to a fuel injection setup?"

"Yo, carb tuning might be a lil outdated, but if you're lookin' for some classic vibes, try adjusting the idle mixture screws. I'd also check the spark plug gaps and make sure the air filter's clean. Anyone got experience with these old Datsuns?"

Yo what's good, Datsun dude! I'm no expert but I've heard you might need to adjust the idle mixture screws and maybe also check the vacuum advance to get that carb tuned right. You might also want to grab a tuning guide specific to the Z-Series, that could give you more detailed instructions.

"Dude, carb tuning on those old Z cars can be a real challenge. Have you tried adjusting the idle mixture screw? I heard the Z-spec Datsuns had a specific tune, might wanna look into that."
