Hey devs,

I've been working with WPF for years, and I'm thinking it's time to give our controls a refresh. With the advancements in modern UI design and user experience, it's become clear that the default WPF controls aren't cutting it for many applications. What customizations and extensions have you guys implemented in your recent WPF projects, and what would you like to see in future control sets?

"Hey guys, I've been experimenting with Avalonia and it's been a game changer for me. The ability to reuse XAML and blend it with WinUI stuff is insane. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for some modernized WPF vibes"

"Hey guys, been playing around with Avalonia and XAML Islands. Both seem promising alternatives to native WPF controls, making it easier to revamp and extend for modern apps. Has anyone else experimented with either of these?"

"Just jumped into this thread, and I gotta say, the WPF control library is in dire need of some TLC. I've been using MahApps.Metro myself for some custom controls, but I'm curious to know what others are using for UI customization these days. Anyone tried Avalonia as an alternative to WPF?"

"Hey guys, I'm also working on a WPF project and I've had some success with Avalonia as an alternative to the traditional WPF controls. Their UI is way more modern and customizable, and it's definitely worth checking out if you're looking to give your app a refresh. Anyone else using it?"

"Hey guys, I've been experimenting with MahApps.Metro and it's been a game-changer for my WPF projects. The custom themes and controls are so much easier to work with than vanilla WPF. Highly recommend checking it out for your next project"

"I've actually been looking into using Avalonia for cross-platform WPF controls, it's got some promising stuff for extending UI components. Anyone have experience with it? Would love to hear about your success stories or any potential roadblocks."

"Just wanted to chime in, I've been experimenting with Avalonia and it's been a game-changer for us. The ability to write cross-platform apps using C# has been a huge plus. Anyone else have any experience with it?"
