"Hey guys, looking for some advice here. I've got a 4-year-old private key from an old wallet that I'm pretty sure I lost forever - it's been safely stored in a USB drive this whole time. Wondering if it's even possible to import the key into a newer wallet, or if I'm out of luck after all this time.

"Yo, 4 years is a long time, but I'd be cautious importing that old private key. If it's been sitting dormant all these years, there's a chance the corresponding public key has been re-used in a newer wallet, which could compromise the security of your current coins. Better to play it safe and try to recover via a seed phrase if possible."

"Dude, that's a long shot, but it's worth a try. Importing a 4-year-old private key is possible, but you gotta check compatibility with the current software version and if the network conditions have changed since then. Good luck with that ancient key"
