"Yo guys, let's say you're friends with a security enthusiast who's always bragging about their 'airtight' home network. How would you go about testing its defenses as a kind of 'red teaming' exercise? I'd start by checking for open ports and simple phishing attempts - anyone else got a go-to move?"

"Dude, I'd probably do some basic port scanning and see what's open on their firewall. Then I'd try to connect to those ports and see if I can establish any kind of backdoor. Nothing too malicious, just a good ol' fashioned security audit"

"Dude, I've done this before, it's all about staying stealthy. I'd start by trying to sniff out their router's IP using tools like Nmap or Angry IP Scanner, then try to brute force their WPA2 password using something like Aircrack or Reaver. Don't wanna crash their router, though, so I'd keep it subtle"
