I'm a huge fan of Laravel for its ease of use and robust feature set, but CodeIgniter has its own loyal following and has been around the block a few times. Honestly, I've dabbled in both and I gotta say, Laravel's syntax is a lot cleaner for me. Don't get me wrong, CodeIgniter's lightweight approach is appealing, but Laravel's ecosystem and community are tough to beat. Overall, Laravel seems more modern and scalable.
