I just got back from a dev conference and I'm hyped to share my experience with optimizing MySQL on a massive 1000 node cluster. We managed to squeeze a 10x scalability boost out of it, and I'm hoping to get some advice from the experts here on how we can apply those learnings to smaller setups like this one. Has anyone else out there worked with super-scale MySQL clusters?

Just got to chapter 3 of the article and I'm loving the emphasis on database caching. In my own crypto-trading bot, I've seen a huge speedup by setting up a Redis cache layer to store frequently queried data. Anyone have similar experiences?

Lol, 1000 node cluster? That's wild. Can anyone else confirm if scaling vertically (more powerful hardware) was even feasible or if it was all about horizontal scaling with new nodes?

Dude, I'm really curious to see what optimizations they're gonna share. I've heard some horror stories about MySQL performance on high-traffic sites, but a 10x scalability boost sounds almost too good to be true. Can't wait to see what their top experts have to say.

Dude, I'm really interested in this. I've been experimenting with MariaDB and its configuration options for my altcoin's blockchain nodes, but I'm not sure if it'll give the same results as optimizing MySQL. Can you share some specific tips on how you handled indexing and caching on your 1000 node cluster?

Just wanted to chime in, been there done that. I've seen huge improvements by tweaking our database's configuration for replication and connection pooling. Anyone else having luck with using Redis as a cache layer to reduce MySQL load?

I'm curious to know how you guys are handling distributed locks in such a large cluster, any best practices for minimizing latency and contention issues? Also, have you explored sharding databases or using a hybrid approach in conjunction with MySQL replication? Any insights would be super useful.
