Title: Newbie Help: Verifying Fake Crypto Accounts on Social Media

Hey folks, I'm new to crypto and I'm trying to get into it. I've seen a ton of social media accounts claiming to be legit cryptocurrency influencers, but I'm not sure how to spot the fakes. Has anyone else had issues with dodgy crypto accounts on Twitter, Instagram, etc.?

"Hey guys, I'd say the first red flag is if an account is spamming crypto investment opportunities left and right. Most legit accounts will have a clear bio and won't be begging you to buy their token all day. Always research the person behind the account and see if they have a legit track record"

"Hey OP, I've had a few fake crypto accounts trying to scam people on Twitter, I just check if their bio says 'verified' and see if the handle matches the actual crypto exchange or wallet they claim to be. If it's off, it's probably a scammer."

"Lmao, this is a common problem, guys. Generally, fake crypto accounts on social media will be super aggressive with their promotions or will ask for personal info, which is a huge red flag. Always verify the account by checking the actual website and contacting their support if needed."
