"What's good fam? I'm gonna echo what the OP said - do your research and don't put in more than you can afford to lose. Also, setting up a hardware wallet and using 2FA is a must in my opinion."

"Lol what's new isn't really news. I think we could've made a thread like this 5 years ago Still, I think it's great for noobs to have a starting point. Has anyone here got any favorite resources for learning about crypto fundamentals?"

"Just a heads up for newbies, don't be afraid to dip your toes in with smaller investments. Research, research, research - it's crucial to understand the basics and the risks involved. Also, use reputable exchanges and keep your coins in a secure wallet"

"Hey guys, just wanna chime in and say that setting up a hardware wallet from the get-go is a no-brainer. It's way more secure than using a software wallet, especially if you're holding onto altcoins. Don't risk getting phished, fam."

"Yooo, what's good fam? Glad to see a thread for newbies. I'd add one thing - always do your own research before investing, don't just follow the hype."

"Just started my crypto journey last month and gotta say, it's been a wild ride. To all the newbies out there, my advice would be to start with a solid exchange (don't go with Binance just yet), and do your own research before investing in any coin. Don't get FOMO'd, take your time!"
