Title: Re: New Employee onboarding process: How do you handle crypto asset declarations?

Hey guys, I'm looking to start a new crypto-friendly company and I'm stuck on the employee onboarding process. My concern is how to properly handle crypto asset declarations, like asking employees if they hold any coins or tokens, and ensuring compliance with AML/KYC regulations. Has anyone else had to deal with this and have some best practices to share?

"Hey guys, so my company has a pretty strict crypto policy - we require new employees to disclose any crypto holdings and we also have a separate policy for trading crypto during work hours. We want to avoid any potential conflicts of interest or insider trading. Has anyone else implemented something similar?"

"Hey guys, I just had to deal with this during my last company switch. I'd recommend implementing a simple online form where employees can voluntarily disclose their crypto holdings. It's better to be transparent and onboard with your company's policies rather than risking potential fines or audits down the line."

"For our company, we just have a simple checkbox on our onboarding forms asking if they hold any cryptocurrencies or have ever owned any. If they say yes, we follow up with a more detailed questionnaire and do a basic KYC check just to ensure they're not involved in any shady biz. It's worked out pretty smoothly so far."

"Yooo, we've got a pretty standardized crypto disclosure process at my current gig. When a new employee joins, we send them a link to a secure online form where they can opt in or out of tracking their crypto assets (no mandatory reporting). If they choose to track, we guide them on setting up a separate wallet for their work-related assets."

"Hi all, just a thought, but I think a clear disclosure form at the beginning of the onboarding process would be a good idea. This way employees can declare their crypto assets upfront and it's clear what they're comfortable with. Saves a lot of headaches later on."

"Hey all, just a tip - our company uses a simple questionnaire that asks about any crypto holdings, then we send the employees a link to a reputable exchange that helps them disclose any relevant assets. We also remind them that taxes will be withheld accordingly. Just a straightforward approach, no need to overcomplicate it."
