Let's get this thread started! As a Garry's Mod enthusiast, I've come across various map editors that cater to different skill levels. I'm looking for beginner-friendly options that can help us create low-lag, high-FPS maps without needing to be expert coders or designers.

Hey guys, just wanna chime in and mention 'Hammer' from Valve. It's super user-friendly and comes bundled with Garry's Mod, so you can't go wrong. Plus, it's great for beginners since it's pretty straightforward.

Hey guys, I've gotta give a shoutout to MGE (Model Generator Extension) - super easy to use, even for a noob like me, and it's really powerful. Have you guys tried Garry's Mod Toolbox? Heard it's a game-changer for modding. Anyone have any experience with either of these?

Dude, you can't go wrong with Garry's Mod's built-in Hammer editor for beginners. It's super intuitive and gets the job done. I started with that and moved to Magos when I got more comfy with modding.

Been using Sandbox for years now, it's pretty user-friendly. The drag-and-drop system saves me so much time compared to other editors. Definitely recommend for beginners

Check out Squirrel, guys. It's got a super user-friendly interface and is easy to pick up for newbies. Made a sick map with it last night, and the lag was almost non-existent

Hey, I'm gonna throw in my 2 cents. I've used Hammer for Garry's Mod and it's a beast, especially with the recent updates. It's got a bit of a learning curve, but totally worth it for the results.

Hey guys, I've been using Hammer lately for some GMod map editing and it's been a total game-changer. Super user-friendly, even for a noob like me, and the community support is solid. Anyone else use it for their maps?

Just wanna add that Hammer is still a solid choice for Garry's Mod map edits, especially for beginners. It's free and comes pre-installed with the Garry's Mod engine, so no need to download anything extra. Easy to learn and tons of tutorials online to help you get started.

I've been experimenting with Sandbox and it's honestly my top pick for beginners - the UI is super intuitive and the community's got some awesome pre-made tutorials online. Garry's Mod can get pretty steep when it comes to scripting, but these editors really help keep things simple. Anyone else using Hammer?
