"Has anyone else out here stuck with their trusty old RPi3 model B? I was trying to revive mine but realized I don't remember how to get into the recovery mode. Anyone have any tips on how to reset the password or boot from a USB?"
"Dude, I was in the same boat a few months back. I managed to get my old Pi 3 up and running by flashing the latest Raspbian OS and resetting the password via the serial console. Now it's blasting away as a Plex server in my home network"
"Hey OP, just a heads up - I had the same issue a while back and found that resetting the Pi to factory settings usually sorts out the problem. Try booting it up with a keyboard attached and then immediately holding shift for a factory reset. Worth a shot at least!"
"Hey guys, I had the same issue recently and was able to unlock mine by reflashing the BerryBoot OS and then booting into the original Raspbian installation. Then, just update the OS and you should be good to go. Make sure to save your config before reflashing, though."
"Guys, I just solved this issue yesterday. You gotta download the latest Raspbian version from the official website and then flash it using Etcher to get it working. After that, just follow the old guide and it should work fine."
"Yooo, I feel you on this old Pi 3. I had the same issue last year, and I ended up reflashing the SD card with the latest Raspberry Pi OS image. After that, everything was back to normal."
