"Dude, I'm not gonna lie, I'm tempted to try out the leaked iOS 17 beta just for the novelty of it, but I'm also a little hesitant since we all know how Apple can get when it comes to security. Anyone have any experience with pre-release betas on their iPhone? Should I really risk bricking my phone?"

"TBH, I wouldn't touch early beta builds from the dark web with a 10ft pole, not worth the risk of getting your iPhone bricked or worse. Stick to official beta releases from Apple, or just wait for the official launch. Your device is worth more than the novelty of early access"
