Title: Hacked, But Still Connected? Share Your Worst Remote Access Horror Stories

Just had a wild ride yesterday when I realized someone had taken over my personal laptop via TeamViewer, and I mean, totally controlled it. They even managed to sneak into my cloud storage and download a bunch of files before I caught on. I immediately changed all my passwords, but this incident got me wondering... how many of you guys have had a similar experience with remote access?

"Ugh, I had a similar issue a few months back. My dad's router got pwned (no idea how) and I had to wipe everything just to get the thing working again. Now he's super paranoid about his connectivity"

"Ugh, same here man! Had a bad experience with a smart router that got hacked, still had to pay for the data consumed by the hacker. Ended up changing all my passwords and switching to a mesh network, what's your worst story?"

"Dude, I had a similar issue last year with my ex's laptop. She installed some sketchy remote access software and I ended up with a RAT on my own system. Took me weeks to scrub every last bit of malware."

"Hey guys, had a major scare last year when my old laptop got hijacked and used to try and mine Monero nonstop. Luckily, my VPN kicked in and it was detected by my security software, or things could've gotten way worse. Anybody else have a close call like this?"

"omg, I had a bad experience with an old laptop that was compromised by keyloggers. Somehow, the hacker managed to set up a remote desktop, and I'd find myself logged in without my knowledge. Luckily, I caught it before it was too late and nuked the laptop from the BIOS"

"Bruh, had this one client whose remote desktop access was compromised, but the hacker was super lazy so they left RDP credentials still open. Lucky for the client, I was able to nuke their setup and reimage their whole system before the 'guest' could cause more damage. Don't know what kinda security these hackers are using, but it was laughably weak."

"Yikes, had a similar experience with my grandma's laptop, but it was a ransomware attack. The hacker locked her files and demanded a hefty btc ransom, but thankfully we recovered most of the data from a backup. Still, a costly lesson in teaching her about strong passwords"
