Honestly, I think we're all in for a surprise in 2024. The whole ASIC-proof era might be all hype, but it's worth it if it keeps the mining space interesting. I'm rooting for the mid-range GPU setup, it's always been the most efficient way to mine and might just give us an edge.
I think GPU will still have its place in the market, even with the rise of ASICs being 'proofed' against. As long as there's a strong demand for crypto mining, someone's gonna find a way to squeeze more efficiency out of those GPUs. Plus, they're still super versatile for gaming and general computing.

Anyone experienced with new trends?
I think it's a bit premature to say which one will reign supreme just yet. ASIC-proof era is all about making GPUs more viable again, but I'm not sure we're there yet. Still need to see some real-world results and more mining applications transitioning to GPUs.
