"Hey guys, I figured it's time to start a thread on GPU overclocking for Ethereum mining, since it's still one of the most lucrative ways to get into this space. For those new to the scene, overclocking your GPU can boost your mining rig's efficiency and increase your earnings, but it's not exactly rocket science (although it can feel like it at times). In this thread, I'll be sharing some tips and tricks for getting started with GPU overclocking."

"Dude, GPU overclocking can be super finicky, but if you've got a solid cooler and can monitor your temps, you can squeeze out some extra hash rate. I've had good results with a 30-40mv voltage increase on my RX 6900 XT, but ymmv. Anyone else got tips for pushing their GPUs to the limit?"

"Agreed, understanding voltage control is key to pushing those clocks higher without frying your card. I've been running my RX 6800 XT at 2200mhz and it's been performing well in terms of hashrates. Just be careful with those temps, 85c is my max cap."

"Just a heads up, guys, make sure you're also checking for proper cooling to avoid overheating when pushing those clock speeds. I recently had a friend's rig crash due to bad airflow and it cost him a whole day of mining time. A good quality waterblock can make a huge difference."

"Dude, I've been overclocking my 3080 for months now and I'm getting like 20% more hashrate out of it, but be careful not to push it too hard or you'll burn out the card. Also, make sure you're using a good BIOS and monitoring software to keep an eye on temps. Has anyone else had luck with overclocking the 4090?"

"Hey guys, I just wanted to chime in that I've noticed a pretty sweet boost in hashrates by bumping up my GPU's voltage by 15mV and underclocking the memory by 25MHz. Not sure what kinda trade-offs I'll see in the long run, but it's been nice to squeeze out some extra Ether from my rigs. Anyone else experiment with these kinds of tweaks?"

"Lol at the noobs thinking they can just crank up the voltage and expect a 50% boost. Seriously though, if you're new to mining, start with the basics - make sure your GPU is properly cooled and you're running the latest drivers. Don't be surprised when your rig overheats and dies."
