Title: GPS Hacks: Using Open-Source Nav Systems for Free Off-Grid Travel

Hey fellow adventurers, just wanted to share my latest project - ditching commercial GPS for open-source alternatives like OpenGPS and OSMAnd. These systems use crowd-sourced maps and can even download offline maps for areas with zero signal, making them perfect for off-grid travel. Has anyone else given these a try?

"Hey guys, I've been experimenting with open-souce nav systems like OpenStreetMap and OsmAnd, and I gotta say, the accuracy is pretty solid. I've been using it on a rugged GPS device I hacked myself, and it's saved me a ton on cell service costs while off-gridding. Anyone else giving this a shot?"
