Title: Got PWNed via RDP: Share Your Worst Remote Access Security Breach Stories

"Hey guys, so I was running a small mining operation on a rented VPS and had an RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) instance on it for maintenance. Guess I was too lazy to set up 2FA and now my VPS is hosting a crypto-jacking botnet I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of. Has anyone else had a similar experience?"

"Ugh, I feel you OP. I once had my RDP account get phished, and some noob tried to ransom me for 0.02 BTC. Luckily, I was on a fresh install and they couldn't get too far, but still a solid wake-up call"

"Dude, I got owned back in 2018 when I used a weak password on my RDP. The hackers got in and started selling my digital assets on the dark web. Luckily, I managed to recover most of it, but it was a wild ride."
