Title: Fury in the Server Room: Our Webhost's CPU Spikes and How to Survive

"Hey guys, I just had to share this crazy story with you all. Our webhost's CPU utilization spiked to 100% for about 2 hours last night, taking our entire platform down with it. Can anyone else share a similar experience, and more importantly, what did you do to mitigate the damage?"

"Yo, I'd suggest setting up some basic CPU monitoring tools on your server to catch those spikes early on. I use New Relic, but there are plenty of other options out there. Anyone else use Linode's default monitoring to catch server issues?"

"Lol been there, done that. Had similar issues with my VPS last year and ended up swapping hosts. Now my bills are lower and I'm loving life"

"Been there, had the CPU spikes too. We moved our server to a cloud host and set up auto-scaling, but before that, we had to do some serious debugging to figure out what was causing the spike. Definitely recommend checking your resource usage logs!"

"Dude, I had a similar issue with my hosting last yr. Turns out they were running a bunch of resource-hungry scripts on the shared server. Make sure to check the server logs and see if they've got any rogue processes eating up CPU, might help troubleshoot the issue."

"Dude, I know some of my web hosts use cgroups to limit resource usage, maybe you can try getting them to implement that? I've also seen people use load balancers to distribute traffic and prevent spikes from taking down the entire server."
