Title: Do devs still have a say in their project's post-IPO direction?

"Hey devs and project owners, I'm curious about what happens after a project goes public. Do the devs who built the thing still have a real say in its direction, or do the VCs and institutional investors call the shots? For example, has anyone seen any cases where devs were able to steer the project's direction against the will of the new owners?"

"Lol, devs don't have a say anymore after IPO, it's all about the shareholders and bottom line. They'll just be along for the ride, trying to keep up with the new vision. I remember when the devs still had some control, it was a totally different time."
