"Hey guys, just started planning a DIY PC build on a tight budget and I'm curious if I can pull off running both Ethereum miners and 4K gaming on the side. I'm looking at around $600-800 for the build, and I've seen some builds online that seem to be able to handle both, but I'm wondering if I'm biting off more than I can chew. Anyone have any experience with budget builds that can handle multi-purpose use?"

"Hey guys, I just built a budget rig with an old 3080 and an X5500 for around $800. I was skeptical about 4K gaming but it surprisingly handles it well, and it's decent for Ethereum mining too. However, I did have to turn down some settings to get 60fps in most games."

"Yup, I'm proof that you can do it. Built a similar rig last year with a Ryzen 9, 1080ti (now mining to a lesser extent lol), and a 2TB SSD. Ran 4K gaming and some Ethereum mining on a budget, around $2.5k. No regrets"
