What's good guys, I'm kicking off this thread for anyone new to crypto looking to learn the ropes. We'll cover the basics, no complex jargon needed, and get folks started with setting up their first wallet and buying their first coin. Who's with me? Let's dive in.

"Yooo, just a heads up for newbies - don't invest more than you can afford to lose, fam. And research, research, research before putting your money into any crypto project. Glad to see a beginner's guide, might even contribute some of my own knowledge later"

"Dude, thanks for creating this guide. I think you should add a section on wallet security, it's crucial for newbies to understand the importance of safeguarding their private keys. Also, would be helpful if you covered the basics of different types of cryptocurrencies, like proof-of-stake vs. proof-of-work."

"Awesome thread, OP! I think it's great that you're creating a resource for newbies to get familiar with crypto. One thing I'd add is to emphasize the importance of setting up a hardware wallet for secure storage, can't stress that enough"

"Hey guys, just wanted to chime in - what's the best way to get a basic grasp on the different types of crypto wallets? I know some people swear by Ledger, while others prefer Trust Wallet, any thoughts? Would love some insight from more experienced members"

"Loved this thread! For those just starting out, I'd recommend checking out some of the better-known exchanges like Coinbase or Binance to get a feel for the platform. They've got user-friendly interfaces and decent learning resources to get you going"

"Hey fellow newbies! I'm really glad to see this thread popping up. What I've found most helpful so far is creating a paper wallet and setting up a hardware wallet for the long-term security of my coins."

"Dope thread, OP! I'd add that it's super important for newbies to educate themselves on the types of cryptos out there (altcoins, stablecoins, etc.) before diving in, and to never invest more than they can afford to lose. Would love to see more resources added to the guide"

"Hey guys, just wanted to chime in and say thanks for the thread! I remember when I was starting out and it seemed like total overkill, but taking the time to learn the basics really paid off. For anyone new, I'd recommend starting with a simple exchange like Binance or Coinbase to get a feel for the market."
