Hey fellow forum members, I think it's time we break down the basics of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and explore how crypto economics works. For those new to the space, DeFi is essentially a platform for lending, borrowing, and trading cryptocurrencies without the need for intermediaries like banks. In this thread, I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts on where we're headed and what challenges lie ahead.

Just wanted to chime in and say that I think the thread is going down the right path, but might want to consider adding more discussion on stablecoins and their role in DeFi. They're a crucial component of the ecosystem, in my opinion. Would love to hear more insights from the OP and others.
