Just stumbled upon the new Chery eQ, an affordable EV from China, and I'm curious - has anyone here had any experience with Chery cars? I've heard mixed reviews about their quality and reliability. Thoughts on whether they're worth a shot or another 'cheap Asian import' to avoid.

"Dude, I've been following their stuff and I gotta say, Chery EVs look decent for their price. The ERG1 and Qiqiren seem like solid options, especially considering the affordability. Anyone got real-world experience with these Chinese EVs?"
I've been looking into Chery for a potential EV purchase, but from what I've seen so far, the specs and reviews are pretty inconsistent. Has anyone actually owned or test-driven a Chery EV? Want to hear their thoughts before I make a decision.

"Hey guys, I'm a bit skeptical about Chery EVs being nightmares. I've got some experience with their gasoline models and they're pretty solid, but I do know they've had some issues with software updates for their EVs. Still, I've heard good things from some mates who own one."
