Title: Cheap Mining Rig Build: $500 Budget, Max Returns

"Hey folks, I'm looking to build a mining rig on the cheap and I'm thinking of aiming for a $500 budget. I've got an old PC case lying around, so that's already half the battle won. Looking for some suggestions on the best components to use that'll give me the best ROI - AMD or Intel, NVMe vs HDD, etc."

"Dude, I just cobbled together a rig using AMD's 5700 XT and 6x RX 560s, all on an old server cabinet, and I'm seeing some decent returns. It's not gonna break the bank to upgrade the power supply, so I'd say stick with the 650W for now and see how it goes. Anyways, what's your plan for cooling?"

"Just wanna chime in, I built a rig last month for around $450 and I'm averaging 30 MH/s with a 750 Watt PSU. Got the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 for the CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM. Not bad for a tight budget"

"Nice thread OP! I was thinking of doing something similar but I'm leaning towards an ASIC miner like the Antminer S19 Pro since it's still profitable with current market prices. Anyone have any experience with these rigs?"

"Dude, I'd recommend going with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 for the GPU, it's a solid mining rig at this price point ($200) and can still give you some decent returns on Ethereum and other altcoins. You could also look into used mining rigs on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace for an even lower price."
