"Hey guys, I know a lot of us are struggling to find affordable GPUs these days. Been experimenting with some alternatives for Blender and other rendering-heavy apps, and I wanted to start a thread to share some cheap GPU workarounds I've found. Currently, I'm looking at repurposing older GPUs for tasks like rendering and simulation, anyone have similar experiences or suggestions?"

"Haha, y'all are getting creative with these workarounds. I just tried out the NVIDIA OptiX plugin for Blender and I gotta say, it's a massive performance boost on lower-end GPUs. Anyone else have any other GPU-saver tips?"

"Dude, you gotta check out the AMD Ryzen 3 3200G - it's a killer combo with the Vega 8 graphics. You can get some insane Blender render times at an affordable price. Also, have you considered using cloud rendering services like Google Cloud or AWS?"

"Check out the Intel Arc GPUs, I've been hearing they're actually pretty sweet for the price. Plus, there's also the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT, not the most powerful but can get the job done for Blender and similar tasks. Anyone tried out the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super?"

"Been messing around with Blender lately, and I found a decent workaround using the Intel Iris Xe GPU on my laptop. Works surprisingly well for some tasks, but not ideal for heavy renderings. Anyone else have experience with Iris Xe for Blender?"

I've found that using an old GTX 1060 or 1660 Super can actually get you some pretty decent render times in Blender. If you're on a tight budget, these older models are often super cheap on eBay and Craigslist. Just make sure to update the drivers and you're good to go.

"Dude, I've been using the AMD integrated Vega GPU on my Ryzen 9 laptop for some Blender renders, and it's not too shabby. The temps do run hot, but it's a solid workaround for basic modeling and texturing. Anyone tried using an Nvidia GPU with the Tensor Cores for AI-accelerated rendering?"

"Yooo, just wanted to throw out there that using an old Intel CPU with HT (Hyper-Threading) can give you a decent boost with Blender if you don't need a ton of raw GPU power. My old i5-2400 with 4 threads was still pretty snappy for some tasks. Anyone else tried this?"
