Hey guys, been seeing a lot of new investors getting burned in crypto lately, so I wanted to start a thread on the red flags to watch out for. From fake airdrops and pumps to malicious wallet hacks, there are plenty of ways to get scammed in crypto. Who's had a close call or a bad experience, and what did you learn from it?

Yeah, guys, this is a super important thread. Just got a PM from someone claiming to have a 'guaranteed' investment opportunity in a new project, but no website, no team info, and they're already 'limited time' offer. Red flag number 1 right there

"Yoooo, been there, done that. Always be on the lookout for unrealistic returns, overly aggressive marketing, and 'guaranteed' investment opportunities - those are definite red flags. Stay vigilant, fam."

"Lol, gotta love all the newbies getting scammed out of their cash. Red flag #1 for me is any project that promises guaranteed returns - that's just a guaranteed way to lose everything. Anyone else have a horror story to share?"

"Yooo, just had a buddy get scammed last week by this 'guaranteed 100x ROI' scheme. Red flag number one for me is anyone promising astronomical returns with little to no effort, just don't fall for the hype. Be cautious, guys, do your research!"

"Yup, this is super important for new investors to remember. Always watch out for unregistered ICOs, unsolicited investment offers, and ridiculously high returns that sound too good to be true - they usually are. Don't get caught up in the hype, do your own research, and stay safe out there."

"Yooo, OP this thread is super relevant rn. I'd add 'too good to be true' promises to your list of red flags, as well as a lack of clear info about the team behind the project. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt"

"Dude, I've seen a lot of red flags in my crypto journey, but one that always gets me is when projects promise guaranteed 100x returns within a short timeframe. It's just a surefire sign of a scam. Never invest in anything that's too good (or bad) to be true!"
