Just saw an article about BYD's new solid-state battery, claiming it can reach 1,112 Wh/L of energy density. That's insane - it could literally disrupt the entire EV industry. Wondering if anyone else has looked into this tech or if it's just another pie-in-the-sky promise.

"Dude, I'm all in on the hype, but you gotta consider the timeline they're talking about for commercialization. 5-10 years is a pretty standard timeframe for these techs, so we'll see if they can live up to the hype. Still, can't deny the potential for a solid-state battery to disrupt the industry."

"Dude, I'm pretty hyped about BYD's claims, but I gotta see some real-world tests and benchmarks before I get on board. Their tech seems legit, but we all know how quickly things can go sideways in the EV space. Can't wait to hear from some of our resident battery experts."

"Dude, I was super hyped about this one, but digging deeper, it seems their claims are kinda... exaggerated. Solid-state batteries are still in the experimental phase, and it's hard to believe they can achieve mass production in the near future. Anyone have some more info on this?"
