"Hey fellow miners, I've had a lot of folks ask me about building a mining rig on a budget, so I figured I'd put together a step-by-step guide. I've been able to put together a rig that's been profitable on the low end of the profit charts with just a few hundred bucks. Who else has had success (or failure) with building a budget mining rig?"

"Nice write-up OP! I completely agree that used/older GPUs are the way to go when building a budget mining rig - just make sure to check for compatibility with the mining software first. Anyone else have experience with RX 5500 XT for Ethereum mining?"

"Dude, I'm working on a rig myself, I found some sweet deals on ebay for some Ryzen 7's and some used GPUs from some guy on Discord, planning to go with a 6 GPU setup, any luck with your build so far?"

"Yo, just a heads up that using old RX 580s might not be the best choice anymore, prices are through the roof and they're kinda outdated. Maybe consider looking into the newer 3060/3070 options for a more modern build. Anyone have any experience with those in mining rigs?"

"Awesome guide OP, been looking to build a mining rig on a budget and this is super helpful. Question, are the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and 5700 XT combo you mentioned compatible with a decent power supply like the EVGA 550 GS, 80+ Gold certified?"

"Just read through the guide, seems like OP has done their research. For those on a super tight budget, I'd recommend looking into 6Gb VTXs, they're super cheap and still have some hashpower left in them. Anyone else tried mining with these?"

"Dude, just a side note - don't forget to factor in the costs of power consumption when building your rig. I've seen people get carried away with the hardware and end up with a setup that chows more power than a small city. It's all about the ROI, bro."
