Title: Breaking into Crypto Dev: Entry-Level Jobs & How to Land Them

Hey guys, just wanted to start a discussion about entry-level jobs in crypto dev and how we can make it more accessible to newbies like myself. I've been trying to break into this field for a while now, but it's tough to know where to start and what skills to learn. Has anyone here had any experience with finding entry-level crypto dev jobs or internships?

"Dude, if you're trying to get into crypto dev, I'd say start by contributing to open-source projects on GitHub or Reddit's r/learnprogramming. It's a great way to build a portfolio and network with other devs in the space. Also, check out job postings on CryptoJobsList or WeWorkRemotely for entry-level gigs."

"Hey guys, I've found that participating in open-source projects on GitHub and building a portfolio of work is super helpful when applying for entry-level dev jobs. I also recommend reaching out to devs on here and asking if they know of any openings or can give advice on getting started."

"Hey guys, just wanted to chime in - I've been in the crypto space for a bit and landed a job at a dev house by networking on GitHub and attending local meetups. One of the most underrated things you can do is contribute to open-source crypto projects, it shows you're invested in the community and got skills to boot."

"I've seen people break into crypto dev roles by contributing to open-source projects and building personal projects on platforms like GitHub. It's also super helpful to network with people in the community, especially those who are already established. Has anyone else found success with these methods?"

"Cheers to anyone breaking into crypto dev, it's a tough but rewarding field. My advice would be to start by building small projects and contributing to open-source repos, that's how I got my foot in the door. Look for entry-level positions at startups and smaller firms, they're more likely to give you a chance to grow"

"Hey fellow devs, I gotta agree with OP on this one - internships and entry-level positions are crucial stepping stones for those new to the crypto space. I landed my first dev gig by applying to a blockchain startup's internship program, and now I'm working on some pretty cool projects. Has anyone else had a similar experience?"

"Ya, I agree with dev101's points on building a strong DevNet presence. I'd also recommend contributing to open-source repos on GitHub, specifically those related to crypto, to get coding experience and connections. It really helped me land my first dev job at a crypto startup last year."

"Yooo, just wanted to add my 2 cents - if you're just starting out, look into internships or entry-level positions at decentralized finance (DeFi) firms or even some of the big crypto exchanges. They often offer training programs and can be a great way to learn from experienced devs. Good luck, OP"
