Hey fellow HODLers, I'm kickstarting this thread to tackle something I feel is often glossed over in the crypto space: bootstrapping your journey as a beginner. We all know the FOMO and HODLing strategies, but let's break down the fundamentals and practical steps anyone can take to get started. What are your top 3 tips for beginners looking to dive into crypto without breaking the bank?

"Yup, been there done that. For beginners, I always say focus on learning the basics, don't get caught up in the get-rich-quick schemes. Start with a small investment, educate yourself on trading and wallet management, then gradually increase your holdings."

"I'm so down for this thread! Been a noob in the crypto space myself, but I realized that bootstrapping is key to learning and staying consistent. What are some resources (books, podcasts, blogs) that you guys recommend for crypto newbies?"

"Yooo, I completely agree with OP on this one. As a beginner, I tried to rush into trading and investing, but that was a recipe for disaster. Bootstrapping and learning the basics first has been a total game-changer for me, huge kudos to the OP for sharing their expertise"

"Dude, I totally agree with the OP - most crypto projects do look appealing at first but fall off the radar later. I've seen so many folks get burned by buying in at the peak, only to see their coins plummet to worthless. It's all about doing your research and being in it for the long haul."

"Word, I totally agree with this thread! For newbies, it's crucial to prioritize understanding the underlying tech over just following the hype. Start by reading up on Satoshi Nakamoto's whitepaper to get a solid grasp of the fundamentals."

"Lol, gotta agree with OP on doing the research and not just jumping into crypto blindly. I've seen too many noobs get burned buying into the 'next big thing' without even understanding the tech behind it. Start with the basics, and then build your way up from there."

"Love the thread title, can't stress enough how important it is to dive in with eyes open and do your own research. I think I learned 90% of what I know from trial and error, and the occasional Reddit AMA."

-edit to add- Also, if anyone is in the same boat as me, what are some beginner-friendly exchanges or wallets you guys have used?"
