"Hey guys, just a heads up, Ashampoo WinOptimizer has some decent cleaning features, but be aware it might slow down your system a bit due to the added overhead of the portable version. Anybody else have experience with this tool? Worth the potential trade-off for a portable setup?"

Not sure what the fuss is about with this Ashampoo WinOptimizer, I've used it before and it's just a system cleaner and optimizer, nothing revolutionary. If you're looking for something free and similar, I'd recommend Glary Utilities - it's a solid alternative, and it's got a lot more features.
